The Global Education Fund has started literacy centers in three Don Bosco orphanages in Venezuela; Caracas, Merida and Puerto La Cruz. Schooling in Venezuela is the simple factor separating the economic haves and have-nots. Most children in Venezuela orphanages go to school in the morning and return to the orphanage in the afternoon. Books ultimately provide the kids with the skills needed to enter the workforce when they leave the orphanage.
