After her parents died, Munasia's aunt cared for her and managed to pay for her primary school fees. The aunt did not have sufficient funds to pay for Munasia’s secondary schooling so she was forced to drop out of school. Munasia has performed well on her KCPE and has a strong desire to continue with her schooling.

“When the girl came to me requesting sponsorship, she was crying. When I saw her determination, I decided to call the principal of the school and she accepted to admit her. Winfred is a total orphan whose parents died in 2000 and mother in 2002 respectively. There are 3 siblings in her mother’s house. Munasia is the oldest sibling. The second born stays with her step mother and Munasia and the third born stay with the aunt, who is jobless. Birthday: March 28, 1990
