“I hope to become a judge to promote justice to all people whether rich or poor. This is because I have witnessed a case against a rich man filed by a poor man being terminated just because the poor could not pay a lawyer for follow up”

“I envision giving back to the community by starting a children’s home for the orphans and making education available to them”

“After I finished my primary level in the year 2004, I could not continue with my studies due to lack of school fees. I remained out of school for the year 2005. In 2006, my elder brother (age 20) got a job and started paying my school fees. Early this year, his job was over since the company was he was working for was under contract. He has remained jobless up to date. This has been a great challenge to me since there is no one to pay my school fees anymore”

“I believe I deserve a GEF scholarship because I am worried about my future and the future of my community if I live without education”

“My principal is one of my role models because he is understanding and sympathetic with human suffering. He understood my situation when I lacked school fees and let me remain in class”

“I can improve my community now by bringing youth together and working with them to conserve the environment. In the future, I can improve my community by the helping the society at large by supporting the poor, disabled, disadvantaged and orphans in meeting their daily needs and helping them achieve their goals in life”
